How To Enable KIRO7’s Alexa Flash Briefing
To get KIRO 7’s Amazon Alexa updates you need to start by downloading the “Alexa App” in your app store.
Once it’s downloaded. Open the App on your phone by clicking on it.
Once inside the app, you’ll see a welcome page. On the top left side the screen, open the sliding menu that is marked by three horizontal lines. It’s circled in red below.
Once you have the menu open, select Settings. It is the 8th thing on the list that has popped up on the left.
In settings, you will see a list of items. You’ll want to scroll down to “Accounts” and select “Flash Briefing”.
Once in “Flash Briefing” you may see some briefings already added to your Alexa. To get more briefings, and add KIRO 7, you’ll want to select “Get more Flash Briefing content”.
That will bring up a list of flash briefings. There will be a search bar at the top. In the search bar, type in “KIRO 7” and hit the magnifying glass that’s on the right side of the screen.
This will pull up KIRO 7’s Flash Briefing page. You’ll see an “Enable” bar in yellow at the top. Click the bar. It will change to “disable skill”.
How to Put KIRO 7 At The Top of Your Flash Briefings
In Flash Briefings you will find an “Edit Order” command at the top right of your screen. Click on this.
Once in the “Edit order” page you will see all of the flash briefings that you have turned on. On the right, you will see three lines for each briefing. Place your finger on this and slide up to put KIRO before all other.
Once you are finished click “Done” on the top right. You are now ready to say “Alexa, what’s the news” and hear updates from KIRO 7.
